here are additional pictures of the shop and my overwhelming amount of wood...when i first moved here and built the shop and our home, i needed wood. the need for wood became an obsestion and the idea was to create custom rustic furniture that i would sell to make a living, well.....things have a way of changing , even though it was not as you had planed...with two back surgerys...a fusion and the fact that my back did not become better...it became worse....the whole furniture idea went down the drain....and i have been adjusting day by day.....i do my wood working when my body allows and so at this rate...the amount of wood that i have will last through the reserection...so this is my shop...and all of the other buildings you see are full of old wood...mostly antique southern heart pine...old oak.....and cedar....thanks for looking at my world..besides my family, it is what sustains my sanity.....grizzman

WELCOME TO MY WORLD, WHEN MY BODY ALLOWS I ''WORK THE WOOD, my shop was built in 1996, it was the first thing i did before i started on our house, it is 30x20 with 10 foot walls and open rafters...it is primarily stocked with delta wood working tools, and besides my family, is the joy of my life, I've enjoyed making furniture for my home as well as gifts for family and friends, id have to say its a very comfy space to work in..i keep a small refrigerator stocked with cool drinks and sometimes bacon and eggs for the wood stove in the winter...when I'm not in the house , this is usually where I'm at..summers are pretty much to hot for much work , except for early morning or in the middle of the night...which I've done ...if your in the neighborhood and want to make some saw dust..stop on by...there is a small sign inside the shop above the door that says gentlemen....but if you are of the female persuasion and can run a saw...come on in.
THIS IS A BOX THAT WAS MADE FOR A DEAR FRIEND, WHO WANTED A BOX TO PUT 3X5 CARDS IN FOR MEMORIZATION, IT HAS IMAGES THAT ARE SYMBOLISM . THE TOP IS THE SUN, FOR AS IN THE SON OF GOD, THE SIDE HANDLES HAVE A MOON AND A STAR WHICH REPRESENT DIFFRENT KINGDOMS , IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD, IT WAS JOINTED WITH DOVETAIL'S IN A CONNECTING PATTERN, AS IN GODS TIME IS ONE ETERNAL ROUND, NO BEGINING, NO END. MADE FROM OAK AND RED CEDAR.

hello family and friends, im not sure what ive done here..i created another blogg...maybe i didnt blogg enough this last year..and it made me create another one...well so be it...i am going to just do an update on what has benn happening since new years basicly..and with the proding from my daughter in law konae...i will try to do better at blogging...ive tried to make good use of my time...when i have felt good and could work in the shop , i have....ive done sevreal projects this year and will only post a few...catching up could prove problematic in that posting it all would take just to much time....the main project ive done latley was an anniversary gift for susan, i made her a jewlery case...it has 18 drawers and has places to hang her necklaces...its made from red cedar, oak and walnut...it took 5 weeks to make...an hour here and a hour there.....thats how i get projects done...ive learned paticence from this method...but ive also sometimes pushe myself to hard and paid the price...im still learning , as we all are...so here is a few pictures of it....grizzman
